First Time Ice Skating

As I was uploading these pictures, I thought how funny it sounded, ice skating in July in the scorching South! But the mall in Montgomery has indoor ice skating, which Georgia has been begging to do all summer. Michael finally took her this week. I think they made one loop and she was ready to go. At least this satisfied her curiosity. Funny thing is as soon as we got in the car to leave, she said, "Now can we go roller skating?"

Poor little Jack had to watch from the "sidelines." He didn't understand why he couldn't skate too.

Back Yard Bible Study III

We had our final Back Yard Bible Study this past week. My children have enjoyed this so much this summer (and I have too!). We met at Robin's house and this week's Bible story was Jesus and the Little Children. Our Bible Verse for the week was "A friend loves at all times." Proverbs 17:17 What a perfect verse to end our studies!! The children have become such good friends over the summer and have enjoyed these fellowships! Thanks Robin for coordinating and pulling everything together each week!!

The Kids are on My Personalized Tshirt!

You might remember my post a few days ago, of the kids wearing cute personalized t-shirts. I got them from a cute website, My Personalized T-Shirt. The owner of the site liked the pics of the kids in her designs so much that she put them on her website. You can check out the link here:

Granny Turns 92!!

My very sweet Granny turned 92 Monday!! Saturday we headed to Birmingham to celebrate with a birthday party in her honor at her favorite restaurant, The Bright Star. Several of her closest friends were there to celebrate. Everyone had such a nice time and it was good to see Granny enjoy visiting with her friends, which she misses dearly. Granny's friends: Cora, Ruth (Mamaw), Granny and B.B.

Jack's Swim Party

We celebrated Jack's 2nd birthday Saturday with a swim party. We rented the Tallassee City Pool for the evening and had a blast!

Jack's birthday invitations and party hat (handmade by yours truly)

Jack with his birthday cake. We sang "Happy Birthday" to him a few times before his party. He cried every time. He has gotten real shy lately and doesn't like a lot of people looking at him. At his party, he sat there with a funny look on his face while we sang. After we got through, he rolled out his lip and hid under the table. While under the table, Georgia blew out his candles! Typical! This makes two years in a row (and all of his birthdays) she blew out his candles.
