Mother's Day Out Graduation

East Tallassee Baptist Church Mother's Day Out held their graduation program last Sunday afternoon. I was so proud of the children and wanted to share. They led the congregation in the Pledge of Allegiance, Pledge of the Christian Flag and Pledge of the Bible. Then each child shared different facts about the Bible. I must say the next thing would have moved anyone...all of the children recited 26 Bible verses from memory. Mrs Robin had a Bible verse every week of school that correlated with the letter of the alphabet they were studying for that week. It was precious (and impressive) to see this!! Then they sang three songs, B-I-B-L-E, Books of the Bible, and Be Careful Little Eyes. I love the Books of the Bible song. How many 5 year olds do you know that can say all of the books of the Old Testament?? Then the graduating class led the closing prayer where each child said their own prayer. It was amazing to see what Mrs. Robin has done with the little ones. She has started a strong Christian foundation that is the beginning of their spiritual growth. What a wonderful ministry and teacher!!

Mrs. Robin

I wanted to have a post dedicated to my friend, and Georgia's teacher, Mrs. Robin. I don't even know where to begin to express how thankful I am for Mrs. Robin and what she has meant to Georgia this past year. Mrs. Robin is very dedicated to the children at East Tallassee Baptist Church's Mother's Day Out. She consistently shows creativity in her class and has set such a positive example for the 12 five year olds she taught this past year. Not only has Mrs. Robin taught the children the "basics" like letters, numbers, shapes, etc., but she is dedicated to teaching God's Word in fun ways. She shares God's love for them and has left a lasting impression on Georgia Anne and the rest of the children. Thank you Mrs. Robin for everything!!

Baton Dress Rehersal

Studio B's dance recitals are this Saturday, May 16th at Tallassee High School. Georgia Anne will perform at the 6:30 show. She had her baton dress rehearsal Tuesday evening. These are a few pictures I took afterwards. I am so glad I took my camera to the dress rehearsal because I am trying work out what lens and settings to use since it is fairly dark and there's a lot of action. We have our second dress rehearsal Friday night, so maybe I can figure it out before Saturday.

Italia!!

Kami and Joey went to France and Italy for their honeymoon and they brought these "Italia" shirts home for the kids. Thanks, Kami and Joey! You can check out their honeymoon pictures on their blog:

My Precious Kids!!

I tried to get a few pictures of all three together....really hard!! I couldn't wait to get them in the matching outfits my sister, Tori, got me for Mother's Day! (Thanks, Toe Toe!) Don't they look cute? I think so, but I know I am just a little biased.

Just a Little Lawn Mower

Last year for Jack's 1st birthday, Aunt Robin gave him this little lawn mower. He was scared to death of it at first. Well now, it is by far his favorite toy. He pushes it around the house all day long, and EVERY time we take P.J. for a walk down the back alley, Jack pushes his little lawn mower the entire way and back. He even cuts Grandma Stalnaker's grass for her..Hee!

Sad Eyes

Cue the music "Sad Eyes".......
Our silly little pug, P.J. sits inside at the back door staring outside, wanting out. So I let him out. Then a few minutes later, this is what I see. He has the art of making you feel sorry for him down to a science. So I let him inside. Then the cycle starts again. Let him out, then sad eyes again. So after a few times, he just gets left outside. Then he does this for hours! Go figure!

Daniel at Two Months

Daniel is now two months old! These two months have flown by! I know I need to enjoy every precious moment of this little guy's baby days because they will be gone in the blink of an eye. He smiles a lot, especially at Georgia and Jack. He also loves his swing and will watch anything on TV (he gets this honestly from his sister). He has started cooing much more, especially after he eats. Speaking of eating, he loves to eat! He was spitting up rally bad, so Dr. Wood suggested we thicken his milk with cereal. He just can't get enough of it and it also did the trick for his spit up problems. He can sleep through ANYTHING, which is great, because our house is never quiet. I do think he is already a Mama's boy. His little eyes follow me wherever I go, and he loves to be held. We just love this little guy so much and are so glad he is a part of our family. It is going to be so much fun seeing his personality develop and see what God has planned for his life.

Daniel and Dr. Wood

Daniel went for his two month check-up on Monday. He is growing FAST! He weighed 11 lbs. 6 1/2 oz. (50%) and was 24" (95%). He had gained a little over 2 lbs. and grown 2" in a month! He had to get 5 vaccinations, 4 shots and 1 oral. I must say, he is a tough little guy. He didn't even cry during the first shot. He cried while she gave him the other three and as soon as I picked him up he quit.

He did have an ear infection in one ear. Yuck! He just screamed when Dr. Wood looked in his infected ear. We have only had two ear infections between Georgia and Jack both, so ear infections are a little new to us. Hopefully he won't have a problem with them like so many kids do.

One Silly Little Girl

Yesterday Georgia told me she had an idea. As she put it, "How 'bout you take some pictures of me making silly faces? I can do a lot." She is definitely one silly little girl! We would laugh and giggle after I took each one. I did manage to sneak in a few "normal" pics. I know she is mine, but isn't she the prettiest little thing?
