Well, it's official! Georgia Anne is enrolled at Tallassee Elementary School for kindergarten next school year! I can hardly believe that my baby is about to start school. It seems like just yesterday that we welcomed her to this world, and now she has grown into such a sweet and loving little girl.

Kami and Joey
April 25, 2009
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrong. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
1 Corinthians 13: 4-7
My very sweet sister-in-law, Kami got married this weekend to a great guy, Joey!! I am so happy they are married!! It was a beautiful wedding, a gorgeous day, and a stunning bride. Michael was a groomsman, Georgia Anne was a flower girl and Jack was a ring bearer. We were all so happy to be a part of their special day and I consider myself very lucky to have Kami and Joey as family. We wish them the very best as they begin their new life together. Congratulations!!!

The Results are In...
I posted a poll on the blog to see who everyone thought Daniel looked like. The results are posted below.
47% thought Daniel looked like Daniel
17% Michael
17% Georgia
11% Jack
5% Leigh Anne
Now, I know many of you will think I'm a little weird for posting pictures of Daniel's feet, but look at them!! I laugh at them all the time. Seriously, have you ever seen toes like these? All of the toes are the same length, and long! His feet are long. And the he sticks his pinkie toe out all by itself. Anyway, maybe you will think his feet are as cute as I do.

Getting Ready for the Wedding
My sister-in-law, Kami's wedding is this weekend. Georgia Anne is a flower girl, and in preparation she went and had her fingernails and toenails painted. She decided on a pretty shade of pink, and was dead set on having toe art. She told the lady she wanted white, blue and silver glitter lines. I tried to talk her into getting a pretty white flower, but she wouldn't have it. So stripes it was. She was so excited and loved the way they turned out.

Daniel Smiling!
Daniel has really started smiling a lot and I've been trying to catch a smile on camera. Well, I finally did it! When Jack was his age, he smiled with his mouth wide open. Daniel does the same thing!! Doesn't he look like a little old man? A cute, little old man!
This is a picture of Jack when he was about 2 months old. You can see the trademark "open mouth" smile.
I've got to take this...
To say Jack is OBSESSED with a phone is an understatement! The boy loves a phone so much that we lose one (or two) of the cordless phones on an almost daily basis. Anything that even resembles a phone (and a lot of time, things that don't resemble a phone) he pretends are a phone. I think it is so cute seeing him "talk." He usually says he is talking to Daddy or Toe Toe. So, excuse me, but I really need to take this call....

It's Just Not Fair!
Today as we were riding down the road, this is the conversation Georgia and I had.
Georgia (as she is staring at Jack in his car seat next to her) : Mama, why are Jack's eyes black?
Me: Black? What do you mean?
Georgia: You know, his eyelashes. Why are they black?
Me: Well, that's just how God made them.
Georgia: Are mine black?
Me: Kind of.
Georgia: It's just not fair. Jack's are black and mine aren't. How come his are pretty?
Me: Yours are very pretty too.
Georgia: Not like his. His are black and long. It just ain't fair!

Daniel at One Month
I am actually about a week late posting this, but Daniel is now a month old. The past few weeks have flown by and he still seems so new, but on the other hand, I feel like he has always been a part of our family. I am so thankful for him and his health. He is such a good, easy-going baby. He has started smiling real big the past few days, which just melts my heart. He has also started "talking" a little. He is growing fast too! He weighed 9 lbs. 9 oz. (50%) and was 22 1/4" (75%) long at his one month check-up. Georgia and Jack really love him and have been very sweet and loving to him. We are truly blessed!!!
